@OP With my tie dye, that is not as good as this, it always looks great until the 1st wash. and I try to set the colors. I use soda ash any recommendations?

With experience, you can do pretty much any basic shape just by folding it properly. Like this 2 moons and a silouhet.

Ice dyeing is easier. You can do whitout if using liquid dye. With ice it's dry dye, it's easier to apply exactly where you want. It's also easier to get full saturation. And off course the watercolor-like effects already mention.
