and our ceiling collapsed

During a massive storm Monday night, the ceiling in the hallway began to swell, crack and look like it was breathing due to humidity and pressure.

My roommate thought putting tape over it would hold it until we got a repair man to look at it. (Don't ask, I can see his reasoning, but don't know why he thought it would hold...)

Soon as he walked away, we heard the ceiling come down and welp, here we are now. Now we're waiting for contractors to come look at it... fun.
(That's an air con and distilled water for those wondering)
