Rather than "bias" I have also seen this referred to as "accuracy", in a non-political context.

In this context (measurements) accuracy is how close to the true value repeat measurements are, precision is how close to each other they are. Bias is when the measurements are skewed. E.g. a thermal sensor might be highly precise but +2c (constant bias) or -5% (linear bias) which you can correct for. But it might not have a deterministic bias like that so not every case of high precision but low accuracy can be fixed by post processing/recalibration
