Camper Update: Road Ready

We finished just enough to get this thing road ready and attached to a car, so we can move!

We got the doors finished and removed the window paper. I used the wrong color sealant under there (shoulda got black) but did you even notice?! No, I didn’t think so!

A rubber gasket around the kitchen area keeps the water running down and around instead of into all my paper towels and such. The cabinets there are rough finished and installed without sealant, so I can remove it later and do the fun electrical work.

The gas springs on the back hatch keep it popped open, but aren’t too strong that we can’t close it. I was worried, without the weight of the wood it was pretty tough to close those springs.

Finally attached to the car and ready to pull it about 1500 miles tomorrow. The lights work (yes!) so hopefully nothing falls off or stops working during the drive.

I’ll do another update later when the electrical goes in and we get into the fun customization stuff.
