English likes to have a bunch of ways to say the same thing so it can fit into rhymes and meter better. It works!

Limerence is also used to described the symptom of intense infatuation experienced by some autistic, and presumably other nuerodivergent people, when they find a person who becomes their special interest or hyperfixation. I've experienced it multiple times throughout my life, and have worked in therapy to monitor/control it.
