Looking for something to read during the holidays? Here are some of my favourites.

The Stormlight Archive by Sanderson. Would put it in my top 10 list of everything I've ever read. Great characters, a huge world, really interesting way of handling "magic".

The Nikki Heat series by Richard Castle. Books from the TV series Castle. Pretty good read and you really see the similarities to the characters from the TV show. A must for fans of Castle.

The Raven's Shadow trilogy by Anthony Ryan. Picked up on whim and I did not regret it. Some parts are a bit slow, but overall it's highly enjoyable.

Wait...a Japanese steampunk fantasy series? That pretty much sums up The Lotus War by Jay Kristoff.

The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini. Don't let the movie Eragon fool you. The book series was far better.

The Mistborn series by Sanderson. A great read. The series actually continues through another set that is being written as we speak.

These books are what I was hoping for when they announced more Star Wars movies. Now I did enjoy Force Awakens, but I still long for a big screen version of this trilogy.

The books that we all know and all wish that GRRM would finish. Sex, violence, Dragons, Tyrion...what more do you need?

I think at some point almost everyone has read at least one of these books.

No book list would be complete without LOTR.

The Wheel of TIme. You are either going to love this series or hate it. Long and wonderfully written.

Another long series. Discworld is just awesome.

Well World is a series that sadly more people haven't heard of. I recommend it if you like Sci Fi.

One of the first real sci fi books I read growing up. Still holds a special place in my heart.
