Yesterday I posted about my band’s first gig (my first ever): https://imgur.com/gallery/eH0DjCL
I was super nervous, and I got SO MUCH positive/encouraging feedback from fellow Imgurians.
Once we got through soundcheck, I was much more comfortable. The nerves basically switched to excitement at that point.
I didn’t play perfectly (dropped a stick during the second song, but recovered nicely). All in all, we killed it. The people watching gave us a great reception as well.
Thank you to everyone who gave words of encouragement! It really did help me out!!

Tbh, not being a drummer, I can almost never tell when a drummer messes up. As long as the main beat is there...

I learned this quickly. Keep the beat going and have extra sticks close at hand for a quick recovery.
