After reading and seeing much discourse about Stranger Things, I decided it was about time I offloaded the chip on my shoulder that I've been carrying since 2017.
I'd genuinely love to know which of the 17 suspects is responsible for such a deplorable act, so I could personally thank them for bringing Etch A Sketch to Hawkins :)

Well, if we're all talking about our obscure etch a sketch memories. Growing up in UK, I had an etch a sketch prior to 1975 (I know the year, it's the year my family moved to Canada). The embossed instructions on the back were in a few languages, English, no doubt French, perhaps Spanish, but most definitely German. I'd walk around calling my fingertips 'fingerspitzen', and cracking myself up, my first real exposure to a foreign language and translation was thanks to etch a sketch.

I stepped on my sketch accidentally slip and fell on my ass while send my sketch flew into my wall at about Mack 5, this somehow let out the toner ass grey crap the covered everything in the impact area and I got yelled at by my mom. Yes folks I have sketch ptsd

I do this crap all the time with random shows with stuff I’m interested in. The worse culprit is in cope or whatever shows when guns are used and said weapon was not sold to the public yet or the get the sound wrong. Like hearing a hammer click and the cops like “got cha!” But they have a fucking Glock!

There is a screen when a ms butterworks bottle is being held upside down, they pan off her and you hear a plastic bottle squirt, pan back syrup is covering the plate then the kid puts the glass bottle down and it clunks…..

I loved the "By the Power of Gayskull!" scene. But having a character tearfully come out in the Midwest, in the 1980s, at the peak of the AIDS epidemic, and be met with nothing but warmth and acceptance, was absurdly unrealistic, even for a show about telekinetic children and other-demensional bulletproof demon monsters. If it wasn’t touched by the cast it’s just set decoration. And since it’s not a focal point. One of the two buyers would have probably chosen it without offering alternative choices since. It’s “close enough”. And no one would notice… someone always notices. lol Hope that helps narrowing it down to two.

I'd argue that this is a much less forgivable/more understandable to criticize mistake than the Etch-A-Sketch one. It's not a subtle difference between two items that you can barely see at a distance, but rather a result of the showrunners (*on a show about nerds*) being so lazy that they didn't even bother to figure out that different games in an extremely non-obscure franchise aren't for the same console with the same soundfont and songs (something learned in 30 seconds of internet searching)
