#8 That was the first DC3 to cross the channel on D-Day. She was sold into civilian hands after the war. A preservation group found it in the boneyard of a business that converts DC3s into modern turboprops and convinced them to sell it to the preservation group, saving it from being parted out of hacked up for a turboprop conversion. The group then restored her to her 1944 D-Day configuration.
