Imgur, I need critical help finding some vital information

Feb 13, 2014 6:14 AM

This is pretty much how I feel about life right now.

Two weeks ago my mom's apartment experienced water damage and 1/4 of her things were ruined. They gave her a new apartment that on the 2nd of February burned down. She lost almost everything in the fire. February 2nd was also the 20 year anniversary of when my father died from a fire in Borislav, Ukraine. Despite this, she has tried to remain optimistic (even though she suffers from depression and anxiety)

I have had a really tough past few months.

Since I recently lost my job and acquired a new, part time, minimum wage job (previous was much better paying) and live in a different state, I haven't been able to offer her any financial assistance or even come see her for years now (although if you remember, she visited me a few months ago) I can barely get by on my own. I still don't have a stove/oven even after several months (refer to previous post), my internet might get shut off again soon because I can't pay it, and I just found out I have to wait another semester before going back to college because the college denied my proof of having lived in this state for several years (despite it being one of the things listed on their website as proof they accept). I'm sorry for ranting, I just haven't made any friends in the new state, and continuously feel more depressed and alone every single day.

I don't need money or pity, I need help with resources/information...

I have been calling various places in Upper New York, trying to help my mom build her life back together. She is disabled (she shattered various bones in her arm decades ago in Ukraine and the shady reconstructive surgery caused various problems that have caused her to be hospitalized on and off) and has no resources. She needs new furniture, clothes, and various other things. What are agencies that will help her (and not turn her away). Are there any that will deliver items to her? (She cannot legally drive due to her disabilities). I'm not that good at information gathering, please, if someone could help.

I don't have info just well wishes. I hope things get better soon.

Check the free section of Craigslist, it always has items available.

Good luck man/lady! I don't know how to get those resources, but I know they're available. Start with Google and work from there.

2/2 Helped everyone get back on their feet again! Religious or not, they are almost always willing to help a citizen in need!
