So, my girlfriend got a new cornea ...

Corneal graft - at least three months of 'blurry shapes' vision, and the stitches come out after a year, and another few months after that before they recommend using a contact lens in that eye again.

If you look closely you can see the black zig-zag thread.

Tell her there's something in her eye.

Eye'd been unaware these were even 'a thing' until she had them done, and I'm uber-sensitive about my eyes. It's still, as you say, amazing.

Does this one have x-ray vision or just the standard x8 zoom?

I think until she signs up for the Nikon or Canon mount, she's limited to 4x in this eye.
