I'm the same, I don't associate with men who talk about or treat women disrespectfully, but I'm guessing that his point is that people like that may take a lack of pushback from peers as validation and it could embolden them to feel more and more entitled. My way of helping is usually being an example. Treating women with respect, standing up for them, questioning misogyny, etc. You don't have to wait until a person has become a rapist to do something, you can show other guys a different path.

Fellow males, I am not an exceptional person, I don't have a large social group, I'm just Aut'ing my way through life... I can name 5 rapists that I know, not creeps, not sexually aggressive or a bit sus... people who have committed actual violent rape... and we dont know a fraction of what the women know.

I've had a lot of female friends, so here's the other side of the coin. Ask any woman you're close to what age they were the first time they felt overtly sexualized by an adult. Based on the conversations I've had, the average number is usually distressingly low, and it's something that they never stop experiencing from that point onward. And if it never escalates to assault, they're the lucky ones. So guys, know that whatever little you do see of this shit, it's just the tip of the iceberg.

Extrapolating his point, I'd say it's that predators rarely just become rapists out of nowhere. It's a crime that stems from an attitude of disrespect of and entitlement towards the target and if you pay attention to someone's words and behaviour you could see the signs. If you do see the signs in someone you know, don't make excuses, don't turn a blind eye. If you're in a position to discourage said behaviour, do so. If you're not or it doesn't work, do what you can to warn others about them.

Actually, no, they're just most likely to be caught.
1/3 men will admit to some kind of sexual violence/assault if you don't use the words.1/10 will straight up admit to rape. 1/4-1/2 will admit to some kind of sexual coercion,and depending on the country 1/5-3/4 will admit to some kind of violence against an intimate partner.
So,it's not really about teach abusers a lesson through violence,it's about teaching all men to hold all other men accountable and making sure they're NOT supporting it

This is more about telling your friends "Dude, this is not ok" when they talk about women like pieces of meat, engaging strangers who appear to be bothering women who look less than pleased about the attention, keeping an eye out in places where alcohol is served & stopping the sober looking guy who is about to lead an inebriated woman out the door etc. But if you know of a pedo priest or a rapey government official and you see an opportunity to stop them for good, then by all means. Have at it.

Men who are taught consent and equity from a young age are way less likely to commit sexual violence. Working to break the kyriarchy and deconstruct the social power structure seems the way to do things. I don't personally believe men are born evil so I have to hope we can fix this.
Like don't get me wrong, the fastest way to fix the problem is probably a garbage ape situation, but we can't just kill off all men, so gotta find some other way to fix this
