Alina Habba's law firm has made more than $2.5 million from Trump's trials.
A Federal Elections Commission report shows that Trump's campaigns and super PACs have made multiple payments to Habba and her firm between February in 2022 and June last year — and they total $2,528,408.06.
Save America and Make America Great Again PACs made many big payments to the New Jersey-based firm for "legal consulting,"

Campaign finance experts say using the money to pay for lawyers in cases not related to the campaign or officeholder duties appears to conflict with a federal ban on the personal use of donor dollars, even though the Federal Election Commission has ruled the prohibition doesn’t apply to so-called leadership political action committees. The massive amount of money going to lawyers also amplifies the urgency Trump is feeling to raise money both for the campaign and his legal defense, which is unfolding on multiple fronts.
Trump’s Save America political action committee has paid nearly $37 million to more than 60 law firms and individual attorneys since January 2022.

Under different circumstances I’d love to disappoint her!
robertfraser
She said she'd prefer to "be pretty over smart, because you can pretend to be smart" Does anyone know when she plans to start that?
DJOldguy
Why are the PACs paying a law firm? What "legal advice" are they receiving? What "legal advice" do they require? The money, is that paying Trump's bills? Probably, fuck knows Trump won't fucking pay. The FEC won't do anything, so the only thing that can happen is if people stop donating to the PACs.

Disbarred in 3,2….
thundercactus
On the plus side, she's grifting a grifter. She's getting paid despite being totally unqualified to represent people in state or federal court.
jaakkopaakkonen
$2.5mm? There's dollars and millimeters. I'm a bit confused what this post is about
machmach
Gryphonosiris
No, she really can't.
mobbatbarnmedautomatvapen
They got paid?
glocksout
When she lightens her hair you know she’s got a show on Fox
ManglerOne
2.5 millimeters of money isn't a lot... I guess it depends on the denomination...
HeywouldJablowme
America's real epidemic is awful people willing to do anything for money.
VinnyVeritas
I'm not convinced she IS a lawyer. I think she just plays one, albeit badly, on TV
therealalansmithee
Second term trump will probably just order the Treasury to directly pay his bills. Hell, he probably order them to issue him a super especially exclusive credit card with no limi and no obligation to pay it back
andydicktracymorganfairchild
Guys she employs constant resting duck-lip face, so I'm pretty sure she can speak authoritatively on many topics.
DidItForScience
In an interview she addressed her looks. Basically she acknowledged that it got her more time on TV, which allows her to spread her client's message more effectively. She's not the head attorney, she's literally the face.
burnsep
She’s definitely the head something.
300Hectares1TankofKerosene
I honestly think at this point, Trump could murder someone on live TV, remain free, and the trial would 20 yrs to resolve.
rustyroo1
Good, hope she takes every dime shitbritches has.
boxak
He’s definitely not getting quality representation in court given what he’s paid for.
CoarseAndSalty
Don't be shy. There's room for more felonies on the pile.
KDeeNZ
So, the law firm has actually RECEIVED all of the 2.5 million?
fergusonjason
Is that brown hair? Because that shit doesn't play at Fox News.
ChristopherHallett
It's extremely easy to get Trump to force one of his underlings to give someone else's money to you - just be hot and flirty with Donald and ask for funding to "fight for him".
JackingMeHoff
Judge to Habba: "refresh (your) memory on how to enter evidence." Trumpy, feeling confident you're going to win with this gaming laptop attorney...LoL
sleepinggreenidea
She's not playing lawyer, she's being a lawyer. Lots of lawyering boils down to being sleazy, venal, and amoral, to include a lot of "respectable" lawyering. She just happens to be doing some that's also very tacky and very public. But it's not like the negative stereotypes of lawyers arose sua sponte.
SpammersAreScum
But as a lawyer she's doing a really bad job. She's not being sleazy, she's being incompetent. Not knowing how to handle herself in court and how to respond to the judge. Repeatedly trying to argue with the judge on settled issues. Literally having to be told by the judge how to enter something into evidence.
sleepinggreenidea
Law school generally doesn't teach lawyers how to actually practice the law; it mostly teaches them legal theory and/or how to pass the bar. So unfortunately, this isn't that unusual either.
rshini
and you can pretty much take the bar as many times as you want - very few can pass it the first time, but the guy who had to take it 10 or 20 twenty times might be suspect.
uplock
the amount of times it took to pass the bar should be a required superscript of your signature
ItsACrazyWorld
And yet nothing will be done with this information. No one will be held accountable. Business as usual.
TheCunningLinguists
Do you mean they broke the law while denying they broke other laws? Shocking./s
MouseCheese1
At least she is getting paid i suppose. She will end up in jail at some point too though, i hope its worth it for her.
PeeterGrant
This idiot and trump were fined almost a million dollars for a frivolous lawsuit. She doesn't even understand the most basic courtroom rules like standing when you address a judge or how to enter evidence into the record.
sieg443130
Or how to request a jury trial.
loperinter
She'll be disbarred eventually and won't care because Fox or Newsmax or whoever will have hired her by then.
AntaNce
also 'boobs', just sayin'
Church14
She can take over when Jeanine Pirro quits
miakkamisfit
Ain’t nothing going to happen
The701
One thought to throw in: Should Trump win in 2024 and usher in the collapse under Project 2025... the gaslighting sycophant, Habba, could potentially be a pick for Attorney General.
WoofBastard
Thank you for that, because I wasn't depressed enough before ...

Meanwhile I have not paid a single cent to one lawyer over my entire life. Still not in jail, have never seen a courtroom up close. What am I doing wrong?
aface62
Try getting caught fornonce.
aface62
*for once.
BenHobson
Paying for a lawyers services does not have to be a negative. Seeing an estate lawyer to do your will, or an contract Laywer to review a big job agreement before signing are completely valid.
remarks61693
I paid a lawyer when I bought my house and it was very worth it. Even if I could have gotten an extension on attorney review for my inspection and all of the closing add ons without them, it was still worth it to know that I had somebody in my corner who understood everything and could explain it to me so I was sure I wasn't taken advantage of or missing information.
Idonotkillpeoplethatismyleastfavoritethingtodo
Have you tried raping and stealing more? It doesn't work if you aren't a republican politician though.
usernametakenisthestoryofmylife
I assume you're not a maga person.
dublet
Have you tried
APM418
Sounds like you're not winning bigly enough.
DangerBaer
Ya gotta risk it for the biscuit.
BlairT1
Have you tried doing more crimes? You could be good at it, you’ll never know unless you try
therealalansmithee
And stop running so fast
bill4935
Do the kind of crimes where the only punishment is a fine, and it's usually lower than the profits from that crime. #55 in the list of ways you can tell the world is corrupt and the villains won a long time ago.
BlairT1
“Steal Big” is the lesson

Good point
theInfinitelyProlonged
Looks more like an audition photo for.... something she's better qualified for than playing a lawyer on TV
PballQhead
Given TFG was apparently trying to swing his tiny, stinky, deformed mushroom peen around the WH, and Melania apparently didn't even ride in the same car with him to her mom's funeral, Abba is definitely auditioning for Wife #4 https://www.politicalflare.com/2024/01/trump-reportedly-tried-to-cheat-on-melania-in-the-white-house-with-a-young-hig">e-aide/">https://www.politicalflare.com/2024/01/trump-reportedly-tried-to-cheat-on-melania-in-the-white-house-with-a-young-highly-attractive-female-aide/ https://www.politicususa.com/2024/01/19/melania-trump-apparently-refused-to-ride-with-donald-trump-at-her-mothers-funeral.html

Yeah but you cropped out her uh, best qualities
CitrusyGarlic
She does kinda look like my stepmom...
dNa87
only doing this to put herself through lawschool.
SwankyPotato
Do you think teamwork could be one of her strengths?
theInfinitelyProlonged
If by teamwork you mean DP or GB... Probably.
SwankyPotato
Lonewolfing
She's already admitted in the past that she'd rather be pretty than smart. Pretty sure fame is fame to her, she doesn't care where it comes from.
KillingTlme
She isn't pretty though. Even at my worst, I would have fucked her and then not returned any of her calls. Her face is incredibly assymetrical.
uplock
Sucks she struck out on both.
thundercactus
She claims she can fake being smart.... we're wondering when she's gonna start doing that lol
theInfinitelyProlonged
Exactly my point... So why not be famous for something more important than the Orange Turd she currently serves.
enotrevo
I'm thinking lawyering pays better especially when you're basically the devil's advocate.
Lonewolfing
Vanity
Hypothesist
she does have big boobies
Lovingimpaler
Yep, and she wasn't hired for her intellect ;-).
KillingTlme
But she doesnt..
Hypothesist
???. This is just a fact. Like you can find pictures of her.
