Math rocks go click-clack

The trick is to put a box lid on the table so the kitty cat will be drawn to it rather than being a Kaiju.

I say this about my step ladder all the time

Bleh, you can have all of the twizzlers

ACAB (all cats are babies)

Why was it like that?

I think of the Danny devito line from always sunny when Eldritch blast is mentioned

This picture is just west of my neighborhood growing up!

Real hot girl shit

This is one of my favorite bits with my kids

#40 the nerdy girl who reads all the time that everyone thinks is weird? I think she was disappointed when he changed back.

1 year ago | Likes 63 Dislikes 0

That's a valid read imo

I mean, just look at her face during that scene. It's pretty plain that's disappointment not shock.

That's because he turns into Neil Kinnock, leader of the Labour Party in the UK between 1983 and 1992! Its madness, madness I tell you!

#14 Twizzlers are crap. Worst Halloween loot ever. Thank you for the plastic rope.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How do you feel about the pull n peel twizzlers? Also have you had the strawberry lemonade twizzlers? An insult to god they are, but edible, moreso than the original imo.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I am disgusted enough by OG twizzlers that I don't go experimenting with the different typemes

#18 for those of you who haven’t encountered this leg trap it is “we have golf club to the kneecaps at home”. Difference is, you can swear vengeance at the person who swung the club and plan their violent death. These things jutting out are essentially you injuring yourself and they are really durable to the point where you cannot kill them in a way that really matters. You will never have solace.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Kneecaps? How short are you?

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thanks to repeatedly encountering those things? Shorter than I should be.
I wonder how much pent of rage I carry stems directly from those things.

#4 I'll allow it, but enemies only have disadvantage on the first toss.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'd probably do it as "INT save to figure out that someone's throwing something at you and it might be dangerous" and then a normal DEX save. I would also, as DM, fail to notice that the Rogue is likely to be able to throw the avocado far enough not to be in the blast radius, nor would I mention this to the rest of the party.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

#4 If you're planning to use it out of combat, sure. In combat, it doesn't matter what an enemy is throwing your way, you're gonna try and dodge it if you can. Fuck knows what it is but standing there isn't gonna help.

I could absolutely see that being soothing or like, helpful for people who do affirmations. My mom would say, "I am a money magnet" like 20 times a day.

Mimics can be things other than chests. Like potions. Not the bottle, the liquid. And it won't start biting until after you drink it.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Campaign I was in, a player had a mimic that would turn in to different weapons for her. Roll a nat 1 and it would bite her hand

#14 Now that I can't eat wheat, I miss Tugging at a stale Twizzler when I get frustrated. (Yes, Twizzlers are mostly wheat with sugar, artificial flavor, and artificial color.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Oh, I didn't know they were wheat, that's interesting.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

When you suddenly can no longer eat wheat without getting migraines and other lovely side effects, you suddenly find out wheat is in all sorts of interesting things. Too often you find out the hard way -- soy sauce, most Campbell's soups (even without noodles), gravies and sauces, some mustards, beer and some alcohol, candies, vitamins, granola...
:Life becomes full of unpleasant surprises,

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah, that sounds awful. Hopefully you find some good wheat free snackies. I had to be gluten free for a medical test and it was miserable.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's been 10 years, so I've adjusted. Snyders of Hanover makes great GF pretzels (I got my sister addicted to them -- she got the infliction the year before me). Popcorn's always been my preferred choice, too. Thankfully because it's a fad, there's a lot of GF stuff out there.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

As someone with a wheat allergy (and at least 13 others), I can strongly recommend quinoa, amaranth and buckwheat flours as replacements. None of them produce gluten at all, if you're celiac, and it doesn't trigger my allergic reactions either. Can't make real bread with them, but there's a lot you can do.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've worked with them, thanks.

#1 I have seven sets of dice sitting in front of me. They are just for decoration. My actual dice to play with are with the rest of the roleplaying stuff.

1 year ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

I have random dice all over the house. and we don't even play DnD.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

But free dice will probably be jinxed, so they're right to refuse.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I have many, many sets of dice, and actively shop for more. That being said, if some random person on the phone offered me free dice, I'd be convinced that there is some awful catch and tell them I have plenty.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Even without that, when I get more dice I want them to be cool/pretty ones. If someone just offered me some random ones that are super generic I wouldn't want them either. Gotta be chromatic or some shit for me to want them.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes, anytime I hear about free whatever I first make sure I have a good idea what is in it for them.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Only seven?

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I have 14 or 15 sets of dice but none of them are fancy enough not to play with them.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I bought a new set of dice on my way to last night's game.

Joke's on me. GM announced we're playing FATE now and polyhedrals are woooorthless for the duration. Not really a problem. Dice goblin say CLICKY CLACKY ROCK GOOD

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Buying my first set today. Been given 2 sets that ive been playing with currently.
New campaign is starting and I'm playing a rogue so buying a set of D6s for sneak attack

Most are more sentimental than actually decorative. Like dice I picked up at various conventions that I attended with my son.

Is it weird that the only people I hear bring up the console wars are PC players?
I guess they just miss having an excuse for self-aggrandizing.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

IIRC I got that meme from a friend who is exclusively a console gamer when I had just gotten my new PC up and running.
