Ram prices are going to go down, ai is bursting because they ran through all their money. Have to take out shady loans, and no the cost to power all the data centers is going to skyrocket. Plus a new ai model that requires less memory came out. Realistically will they be as low as before. Never. Because greed obviously

that's a 16GB DDR4 stick for $100 and a 16GB DDR5 stick for for $185.
I have a DDR4 system with 128gb. That's 4 sticks of 32GB. I paid $180 total for it before AI started buying up all the ram. Same performance specs as well.

Ya I bought 4 sticks of 16gb ddr5 2 years ago for $200, $100 a pair because I was building a rgb system so paid more for the flashy stuff

I recently repaired a system by replacing all of its ram... The ram I had to buy costs $245,760 per gigabyte. That's almost a quarter of a million dollars per gig...
Mind you the system in question can only have 64kb of ram total without a specialized expansion card that tops out at 256kb.
