In a few weeks the reality is that many (most) nations will be out of reserves we've been using or low to the point its an issue (outside of China atm) and gas will spike again in July, probably really badly. This is him getting out ahead of that (this was a report from the major oil companies last day or so) so his lackies can blame them instead of the war he started at Israeli's behest.

The lack of oil moving, the affect to the world because of this war has honestly NOT BEEN FELT YET AT ALL. We've been staving off, except China they made it illegal to reach into the reserves, by going into reserves and grabbing whatever oil we can. By mid July we will see the real outcome of this war reflected in oil prices. His recent surrender is directly linked to this reality, someone got to him and explained that by Nov everything will be SUPER FUCKING WORSE unless they pull back now.

Yeah covid ruined many things. Businesses realized how much more they could get away with and the government failed to step in amd say "no"

Covid definitely gave them an excuse to hit the gas on enshitification. But it's been happening for a while. Every time a popular brand advertises "New Flavors!" "New Packaging!" "Now with less salt!" etc they are also subtly adjusting the packaging to give you a little bit less product, for a little bit more money.
