or live like it's WWII since dad was raised in such times. I get nervous whenever bright lights are on in my own house.

Even though the flood lights have gone from 75W to 15W, I still get the nervous feeling that they're using too much power.

My dad was strict about opening curtains over turning on a light. Even with the advent of LED bulbs, he couldn't grasp the wattage savings.
