It's not just ambient, it's radiant. I've never seen stuff NOT on the ground melt. This rock gets pretty hot during the day. Burns paws/feet

The hole just in the side looks like they threw away something on fire. The one I saw was thin and warped at the bottom where it sat on 1/2
