So funny story, my Secret Santa packages came the same day I got my wife's presents, so I looked at the pile of packages, said, "Okay, cool, everything got here on time." and socked everything away till I could wrap them before Christmas. Imagine my surprise when I opened up a bunch of packages on the 23rd with stuff I'd not ordered.
Thank you to my Secret Santa, and my apologies for not getting this done sooner. These presents are fantastic, which leads to another funny story...
When I showed my wife this crystal growing set, she claimed it almost immediately, grabbing it out of my hands and running away laughing about rocks like the crazed goblin she is.
An embossed journal. Perfect for me as I'm a DM who builds large worlds for his games. My next game ideas will get written in here, and then slowly flushed out till the world is complete, or the ghost of J.R.R. Tolkien tells me "That's enough."
Currently, I'm running a game for 7 people that uses D&D 5th ed, but utilizing modules that I played growing up from 1st and 2nd ed. The group is currently running through the Tomb of Horrors but twisted like a Dark Souls game mixed with a bit of Rogue Legacy.
We drink a lot of tea here, so this mug is a great addition to add to the hooks. I look forward to finally being able to rescue the princess. She's in so many other castles.
Cat Tax.
Megara the tiny terror does not like the cold. She says this weather is crap.
