Those examples are already classed as Dwarf Planets which is fine but the problem is Dwarf Planets are not ranked as a third class of planet but as non-planets.
And that is a purely human choice to protect what was already known instead of expanding the horizons.

It's fine and was a necessary correction.
Pluto's way more chill about it than the ppl who are whiteknighting.

It's way more about its size than the orbit. You may look up the definition of dwarf planets (that's what it is now) to give you a better understanding of it (hope that doesn't sound snarky but I'm busy rn and can't link smth myself).

I'm just playing around, I honestly don't care one way or the other personally/emotionally, only intellectually would I say it's the right decision because we need a good classification system, and we needed it then, before we started finding exo-planets en masse

Totally on your side regarding the reliability and "goodness" of the classification system. It's also (imho) a great example for a healthy scientific falsification process. That's what science is about in a nutshell. We correct ourselves when we get more information on the way forward.

but, yeah, was meaning 'good' as in... a classification system that has ambiguity, or, worse (which was the case here) no clear and defined specifications at all, is a bad one, however, a classification system that is accounts for all known distinctions, allowing for hard lined separation of all items in the batch, is a good one
