Yesterday-ish, Imgur inexplicably decided to remove all of their bot/spam filters, and let EVERYTHING through to usersub. As a result, 95% of posts are now utter trash from brand new accounts: bots and/or people just wanting to host an image for Reddit (or wherever), but not caring at all about the Imgur community.
Anime weeb crap, random Russian nonsense, repetitive game screenshots, logos, etc. etc.
Usersub should be a place to separate the gems from the duds, not a stinking trash heap through which we must slog to find anything remotely relevant or interesting.
Why not at least make "hidden" the DEFAULT for new posts? That wouldn't deter bots intent on making our lives miserable, but it would greatly reduce the "I just wanted to host an image for another site" garbage.

With them pushing stuff onto the FP just because they deem the post worthy (not because it has enough upvotes), lowering the bar to get on FP, this shit, possibly some AI in the future, changing the terms to say that anything you post here is theirs. I am seriously considering leaving.
