I can't stand it. I usually pick a city in a low tourist populated country. Travel then by bus, car or train inside the country to a even smaller and more rare town, order a bear at the local bar/pub only to hear the person next to me talking to his wife/friend/whatever in my language. It takes away the thrill of seeing new places if it feels like it's just your hometown.

Well fuck your rich ass mate stay your ass home
Drackian
This is beyond retarded. But on a more serious note, what if that country doesn't serve bears? Or do you only pick countries that have bears

Old post, but I get this. It's like going somewhere and dealing with a million [insert ethnicity here] people who make lines long... 1/2

2/2 are trying to all take pictures of the same thing, who show up on a huge smoggy bus, etc. Frustrating when it's not what you desire
CouchSitting
Do you order a grizzly or a black one?
dingusplease
Grizzly, the black ones are too dangerous to keep around.
CouchSitting
Do you get a coster for it?

So you are disappointed that you don't own the world? You heard of the destination in your language. So did others.

You're going to these places so you can feel like you're the only one who's ever been there.

Instead, you should try to find unique experiences in these places.

Anyone with enough vacation time can hang out on the beach in Montenegro. Not everyone gets to hike in the mountains.
OneCrazyWriter
But the experience will be free of conventional hotels and sitting around drinking "bears".
