They say that Biden is a pedo, and that Hunter's laptop was full of child porn, and that the only reason he's going to trial is because Biden made all the evidence disappear. They say Biden hasn't done anything at all and that he's a terrible president. When I listed things like student loan forgiveness and capping insulin prices, they just waved them off as nothing. When I mentioned that Trump had all but admitted to molesting underage girls, they demanded proof and wouldn't accept news articles as evidence, even though they don't provide the same evidence for their bs claims. And when I pointed out that Trump is backed by actual Nazis, they decided they didn't want to discuss politics. But they're working class and hate the Toriesas much as I do. One of my coworkers (not the ones referred to here) is trans, I'm in a gay relationship, and they've all seemed perfectly okay with all of that. Now I don't know what to think.

A colleague said to me that 'if they met Trump I think they'd like him and get on with him' ??? Note, they also conducted their 'own reasearch' on the covid vaccine and knew it wasn't safe. I explained that all the clinical trial data had been published, after they said their was no evidence out there. I'm British as well and I used to have a co-worker who thought Biden was senile and corrupt, she would often echo propaganda points and back trumps policies. She watched a lot of YouTube conspiracy videos and other batshit crazy stuff. It was a shame because other than that she was a wonderful person. It was sad seeing someone fall for propaganda in real time.

I had remote co-workers from Russia who thought largely the same thing. They would say tell me about American propaganda and I would bring up how yeah Fox news and OAN suck, but I watch lots of news channels from lots of countries and they were like no, those are the only real ones. Smart guys in tech, but seriously backwards ideas about society and women in general.

Yeah in the last few months I had a long time good friend who was always a big “Regan fan boi” but recently he unmasked and showed me that he’s a full on Canadian Red Hat…spouting all the propaganda and lies from the Fox Terrorist network. Now quiet and private comments from his wife along the lines “why are you still friends with him” are making more sense to me…Not sure I want to continue our friendship.

They have 4 grown daughters and they already had an “intervention” about his views and rhetoric….and he’s gone to counselling with his wife too, but I think he’s more saying and doing what needs to be done to not end up in a divorce….That’s my interpretation of things at least. The fact he spouted all that crap AFTER the family affairs lends validity to my assumptions.
