When I buy a box of cake mix like that, I typically do not end up baking a full-size cake. I eat a good third of the prepared mix first...

13 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

this makes me happy.

13 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Is dat u Pintrest?

13 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

DOES NO ONE IN HERE FUCKING BAKE FROM SCRATCH?! Cake mixes are god right awful.

13 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

You could also add: chocolate chips, light brown sugar, butter, vanilla extract and salt into flour and make cookie dough.

13 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

It took me a while to figure out that those were actually several cookies and not two powdered turds

13 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why don't you just make your own, homemade? Like.. eggs, flour and stuff D:

13 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

My mom makes these! She calls them snap cookies!

13 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Oh Snap!

13 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

yep! A mediocre cookie dough is yours in an instant!

13 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Works well with lemons! www.lemonparty.org

13 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 6

I almost clicked that with a child right behind me when this was first going around but then I realized it must be a trick. Glad I didn't.

13 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This changes EVERYTHING!

13 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Includes real chocolate. Now that's a weird thing to put on a chocolate cake box :D

13 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I do this all the time and it's better than cookie dough IMO. Try red velvet cake mix and add cream cheese frosting, you won't regret it.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

The cake to cookie ratio is off here guys..

13 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 1

These are the survivors after the horrible attack as they were leaving the oven.

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I did what you said, but now my cookies taste like motor oil. Why is that?

13 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Sometimes I don't mind when Pinterest leaks onto Imgur

13 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

How long do you bake them though?

13 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Standard oven temp is usually 350F but baking time always varies for cookies depending on your oven and how crispy you prefer. Test times.

13 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

350F for 8-10 min

13 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

that sounds yummy, but I worry this is the bakers version of waterproof phone updates.

13 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 0

Nope it works. Just don't use a mixer when you mix it. And apparently strawberry cake mix is the best...tho I will stick with chocolate :)

13 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It's not. They're delicious and you can use almost any cake mix. Drawback is all the snobby bakers will get snitty with you

13 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Nope I do it all the time. I add a box of instant pudding mix too though. My daughter and step daughters love it. 1/2

13 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

There's actually a Betty Crocker cook book that tells you how to "jazz up" cake mixes & that's where I got it from.

13 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Half a cup of oil? Who are you? BP?

13 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 1

not a lot in a standard cookie recipe. I cup of butter = 1 cup oil. Same stuff, just runnier.

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's what I was thinking. That's a shit load of oil! haha.

13 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Why buy a mix in the first place? Who hasn't got flour, butter, sugar, baking powder and cocoa in the pantry?

13 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 3

me

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ugh This is why I hate pinterest, click on a recipe and it says to use a box. Im in the UK theyre expensive!

13 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Okay, eggs, I get it. Look in the freezer.

13 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

For some people it's hard.. I don't understand why.. but it is.

13 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Plus when you have 3 kids running around the house sometimes it's just easier to use a box. I've done it a lot and they love them.

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Because if I'm baking a wedding cake for 250 people I know I need a specific amount of batter for each layer, I then know how much my mix p1

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Renders. Then I can calculate how many I need instead of using every bride's grandma's chocolate cake recipe and having to guess how many p2

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Batches I need to make. P3

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Am I the only one who actually bakes anything from scratch?!… that box stuff is shit compared to homemade!

13 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

tru dat

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not much of a baker myself, but you are 100% right. No one knows how to cook anymore. Women used to make biscuits from scratch EVERY MORNING

13 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Spice/carrot cookies with cream cheese frosting. Funfetti cookies. Oh yes.

13 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

Also red velvet. 2 words...cookie sandwiches.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

yes funfetti.... i know what i'm bringing for thanksgiving dessert!

13 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Mmm. I make pumpkin cookies from scratch & cream cheese frosting is the most delicious stuff ever.

13 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Truth.

13 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

They've been putting this recipe on cake mix boxes for years. I've been making cookies this way since before pinterest existed.

13 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I'm getting real tired of these pinterest type posts making the front page. Thos post belongs somewhere else. Yes I'm being THAT guy.

13 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

Cake batter... Cookie dough... It's all better uncooked anyway.

13 years ago | Likes 75 Dislikes 1

Fresh off the spoon, just like ma used to make

13 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Unless you believe the hype about salmonella. Like fish are related to chickens.... I joke.

13 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

Rocky and Gaston ate raw eggs every morning. I think I'll take my chances.

13 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Nobody eats eggs like Gaston.

13 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

For eggs, I think the chances were something like 1 in 80,000

I'm browsing on random. Here's a friendly reminder to think about this post again.

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

THANK YOU SARAH!

12 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Remember when everyone wanted the favourites to be a thing?

13 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Stop trying to make favorites a thing. It's never going to be a thing.

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

YUP!!

13 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

hahahaha this! everytime.

13 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"favorites" will remember randomly in a week at 3AM

13 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

happened to me. just checked it today.... 3 years later...

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

5 years later I just found this in my favorites.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

. 2 years later

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This holds so true I didn't even know I'd ever seen it but had it already favorited.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Here's your reminder

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I like to think that one day, possibly a few years from now, I'll check my favorites and be pleasantly (or horrifically) surprised.

13 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 0

Check it

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm just waiting for imgur to introduce some sort of system to organize my favorites into categories. Right now it's just a clusterfuck.

13 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

But if I wanted cookie dough I'd buy cookie dough

13 years ago | Likes 116 Dislikes 7

Yeah that and the fact that this recipe is commonly listed on the box...

13 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

But think of all the new and exciting flavours!

13 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

.... why has no one mentioned that you can just make cookie dough? seriously its not hard

13 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

I've never seen chocolate flavored cookie dough at the grocery store. Then again I live in poverty

13 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 3

Here's a downvote, Downer.

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

These aren't just regular cookies, though! And when's the last time you saw red velvet cookie dough?!

13 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 1

Damn.

13 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Dude. That idea was revolutionary.

13 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Red velvet cookies was the exact idea I had when I saw this post.

13 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They're wonderful! Good with powdered sugar on them too

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's a dog-eat-dog world out there. That's why I don't go out there. I stay in here where it's a man-eat-chocolate-cake world.

13 years ago | Likes 298 Dislikes 0

" I try not to go out unnecessarily. You want to know what happened the last time I went out without hours of planning?"

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"I was outside. I can't remember what I was doing. Something. Standing? Maybe wondering how I got there."

13 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"And then, out of nowhere, it happened."

It's a doggy-dog world, but for all intensive purposes tidbits like this are a diamond dozen. Do respect, pinterest is no gold mind of info.

I hole-hardedly agree. Unfortunately, it seems like some people have zero taller ants for this kind of thing.

It's a moo point. Like a cows opinion.
