Cataloging procedurally generated items seems like an exercise in obsession.
dremth
How is cataloging procedural objects any different than cataloging real objects? On some level, everything is procedural, real or not.
RBBaker
There's where we're going to disagree. Live Butterflies vs. PG Space Craft (eg) ... enormous, fundamental difference.
dremth
Not really. Just differing levels of complexity.
RBBaker
If you say so.

Sometimes I wonder through. I've seen a few that look spot on like some classic ship designes

Put a monkey at a typewriter ...

You know that's fake right? They'll just type gibberish no matter how long they have
RBBaker
It's not "right" or "wrong", "fake" or "true" ... It's just a visually compelling description that makes a point.

I haven't purchased this yet as I'm hoping they will add more content. Do any of the smaller but more expensive ships travel faster? 1/2
pivlatman
2/2 or have any other benefits? I noticed that some are quite expensive but you don't gain many extra storage slots.
dremth
Strangely, the size of the ship doesn't seem to affect storage space much. I've seen tiny ships with huge storage and huge ships with tiny.

Bigger inventories are about all until the new content drops.
pivlatman
Any idea what will be involved in the new content?
cleveranduniqueusername
I dunno about the first one, but I hear tell they're planning on making those giant freighters pilotable
pivlatman
Nice, I just read the patch note and the big one is larger stack in both ship and personal inventory by the looks of it as well as heaps mor
