Check your return air ducts for leaks. Mine was sucking hot air out of the attic due to a construction mistake.

Determined that the capacitor and a fuse was bad with a multi-meter, found a local supply that carried them and replaced.

My dad has had a pair of vice grips on the capacitor on the unit to his garage. It's been there for at least 15 years. Not sure why!:)
