I've never had something like this happen, I feel violated. Had my wife's gifts, kids gifts, snow gear and the title to the car. I don't even know what to do about the title. Call the police filed a report, called my insurance company started a claim. This sucks some serious ass. There were some mail in the glove department and a expired credit card. People f****** suck. Got in the car this morning with my 6-year-old and he says what's that smell stinks in here. The car wreaked of weed. Wife and I both lost our jobs this year Lost our house and now this yeah 2020 sucks.
I'm so frustrated right now

My grandparents had the same thing happen. Tis the season, thieves know cars might be loaded. Sorry this happened.

Sucks. Take stock in the positives.

This statistic is really disturbing
AesirBiker
Call your state DMV/Title office. It will like always lots of time on hold but should help with the title stuff.

Post or DM me with an Amazon wishlist for your kids presents

Thank you for your kindness, we will be ok though. There are people struggling worse then us. Knowing people likeyou areout there is amazing
babycheesehead
Send the wishlist, I’ll make a matching gift to a charity

So car break ins are at all time high, because most police departments won't respond and view it as an issue for your insurance company.

For the last time folks, YOUR CAR IS NOT A SAFE PLACE TO LEAVE VALUABLES
turbonizer
Why would you leave anything valuable in your car?
Weblord
I have to admit, this gets me too. The ownership papers!? Not saying its OPs fault - it's a terrible crime.
i2ocker89
Well I was waiting for everyone to be asleep then I fell asleep. However I had everything covered in the trunk. Nothing visible
turbonizer
Oh okay trunk packed.. but a blanket will make it seem empty.. I'm sorry for what happened but damn
i2ocker89
I had the snow clothes on top of them lol just looked like clothes but the windows are super tinted also, no way they saw anything prior
CanIGetSomeExtraSalt

DudeThatsRacist
An owner looking for an insurance claim.
i2ocker89
Not with a 1000 dollar deductable they don't. That damage likely wouldn't even charge insurance be all out of pocket
ignoranttostarwarsandvideogames
As someone that has had a car broken into 9 times, a van stolen twice and garage broken into, you'll be fine, it sucks, but you'll be fine.
i2ocker89
Yea the gifts were only maybe 300 bucks but it's just how bad this year has been already, uncertainty of the future and trying to keep kids
i2ocker89
Minds off the craziness of the world and let them be kids
Chickawetta
So sorry @op. Maybe you can recoup something for your stolen purchases too? If the repairs are more than that sucky deductible...
i2ocker89
Yea likelyhood is it's all a loss. At least no one was hurt and they left the kids carseats. Keep on keepin on. Lifes a garden, dig it lol
