There are a lot of married men who have dirty secrets...

I am, however, allowed to wear my own candy bracelet that says tranny on it 😋

I've always been a nervous person and around my transitioned friends. I always feel extra nervous about fucking up and misgendering. Finally, one of them asked me. Do you still love me as a person? I said yes. They said then I can forgive your mistakes. I sometimes forget that I'll go out of my way to make sure they're still welcome that I forget how it feels to be welcomed

The thing I like about this post is that it points out low key how people, even well meaning ones, ask a million questions to protected groups out of curiosity.

Remember, chances are you aren't the first one to ask em. It gets tiring after a while

I mean you COULD.be my dirty little secret if you wanted to be...

This image is of Astolfo, who, as far as I can tell, doesn't view himself as a woman.

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

I mean, I don’t really know you well enough to call you a friend, you’re really more of an acquaintance though. (/Comically missing the point)

That being said, I do understand your frustration. Being a member of a minority groups gargles duck balls.

Fun fact: Ducks have interal testes!

They also eat for free at Subway

Made a few additions based on my trans friends.

Damn. You got us.

As the token straight guy and designated driver in an LGBTQ+ friend group, I noticed somethings.

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I deviate slightly in that I typically don't mind answering questions for sincerely curious people who just want to understand better.

3 weeks ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 2

Ditto. I'd rather they hear answers from a transwoman than from BillyJimRay's AntiWoke Blog and Crypto Podcast

If someone was asking "is it true that-" or "I heard that-" I would get tired of it fast, but that has yet to happen to me.
Usually when people have asked me about it, they are asking because they have a recently out transperson in their life and want to know more to support them or want to know about my personal transition rather than a QA about trans in general. It can be really affirming to talk with other women about female specific experiences.

2 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If anything, my experience is there's an unexpected level of incuriousness from supportive and indifferent people alike.

for the folks who are getting really bent out of shape about trans people existing because you believe it's a choice: What choice did people with de la Chapelle syndrome have? How about Klinefelter syndrome? Gender dysphoria is a medical condition. Gender affirming care is a treatment option, just like any other medical condition that could cause such physical and hormonal challenges would be treated with.

3 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Let's see... Let me go through harrowing dysphoria, try to convince clueless doctors of my situation, finally go on meds for years, have painful and dangerous surgery, just so I can become a target for every right-wing conservative blockhead out there. That's the "choice" people make apparently...

Being trans is fucking horrible most of the time. I am trapped in a body horror film I can't turn off. I have been on the fucking waiting list for gender care here in the Netherlands for over 5 years. And no, healthcare isn't socialized here. It's private. It just sucks.

the thing that surprised me most was how many conservatives genuinely seem to believe that people are doing that. It's as preposterous as the litterboxes in schools for furries lie that Texas bought hook line and sinker. While some of it is pure malice, and some of the anti-trans bigots know they're making shit up, plenty genuinely are gullible enough to believe that trans people would do all that to *checks notes* get a college sports scholarship.

forgot to add, they also still have to be a top tier athlete on top of that. The studies on athletic performance for people undergoing HRT shows that the gender advantage in physical activities (regardless of M->F or F->M) are indistinguishable from normal human variation within a gender group after I think it was 3 months of treatment?

Feel like Astolfo is a weird pick for this image. My Fate lore is a little rusty but Im pretty sure Astolfo identifies as male and chooses to wear "girly" things be cause he "likes cute stuff". If I'm not remembering this correct please correct me but I'm pretty sure thats the situation.

There was an actual pair of transgender characters in My Hero you could use though.

3 weeks ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Astolfo isn't that odd of a choice. Fate go mostly refers to them using they/them pronouns. And their listed gender is as "??? Per Astolfo's request, their gender is a secret."

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

I never played the mobile game so idk how they handle it there. I only know them from the Apocrypha manga/anime.

Imagine treating people like...people.
What a wild concept. /s

3 weeks ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 4

Right? I don’t care what you are as long as it’s a good person

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Listen here, you might need to chill the fuck down, treating people like people, all of a sudden we start seeing what the billionaire class are doing… this cannot stand

3 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

In this economy?

2 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Careful, the last guy who suggested that got nailed to a cross.

3 weeks ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 3

He also considered marriage to be only between one man and one woman, that those who were born to their gender were not a mistake - but supposed to be that gender

2 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

I assume you're referring to Matthew 19.
That is not what that verse means. Jesus is being tested by Pharisees on Jewish law, and his answer is about the ethics of divorce, not that marriage should be between a man and a woman.
And Jesus never said squat about neither homosexuality nor transpeople.

2 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Implicitly said by transitive property - Jesus claimed multiple times that He and the Father are one, are in unity (John 10:30, John 17, John 8:58, Mark 2:5-7 - some references from top of head).

Being in unity, anything God holds true He would also hold true.

2 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

You can’t use a ‘transitive property’ to insert modern gender debates into Scripture. The OT says nothing about trans people, and Jesus never taught that gender is fixed at birth. In Matthew 19 he’s addressing divorce ethics, not identity. And the only group he mentions outside binary norms, eunuchs, he treats with dignity, not exclusion.
Also, the whole point of Jesus dying on the cross was to seal the new pact, which means the OT is useless as a source.

2 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Nah, the last guy who suggested that got quietly dumped in a ditch and forgotten about by history: The ruling class learned their lesson and stopped making it loud.

That was a great part in Good Omens season 2

Yep. That show was so good. Final episode (season 3) was ok, more of just a closure more of

Is it out??

As a transhumanist who wants to become a self replicating space probe, I see an amateur! Why do you want a body that can't survive orbital reentry?! Get on my level, meatbag!

3 weeks ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 3

Oddly enough, I remember a book that two of the main characters got heavily in the body modification and eventually made it so they could survive in space and also involved a diary that was actually like a Wikipedia with a mild AI built into it. That was their teacher from kindergarten on. If this reminds anyone of what it is. I wanted to say it's snow crash but that doesn't sound right. It's been a bit since I read either one of those

2 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I wanna be a swarm of self-replicating nano-bots that can form any shape/genitals I feel like and also survive reentry.

Upgrades people, upgrade!

That you, Bob?

3 weeks ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Still pissed about what happened to Homer!

2 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

No, because I have absolutely NO moral issues with uplifting everything. "Natural development of a culture" involves a lot of death, disease, famine, warfare, atrocities and the like!

2 weeks ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yeah, the prime directive is some masturbatory bullshit.

2 weeks ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Who you calling meatbag, meatbag?

3 weeks ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

I am not a meatbag. I am just stuck in my factory default setting because they haven't figured out how to change it yet. Trans gals and guys at least get to modify their chassis.

3 weeks ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

You could get a bunch of piercings? At least that way you'd be partly metal.

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Sadly, I am all original parts with the exception of my glasses. I was stopped from trying to get into the cybernetic hand research program when I broke my hand. It was salvageable with just a few pins holding everything together, then they removed the pins.
