Didnt figure where else to ask. what ever i do, it seems i cant extend selected Ext4 to right, even tho there is plenty of free space. It just wont let me extend it. using windows 8

Did you create that partition in Win8 or in Linux or similar distro?

Ext4 is LInux, Win can't really touch it, without help anyways (ext2fsd), however no volume managment. 1/2

DL a linux live disk (I use Lubuntu). Most of them have a program called "Gparted", which will do this for you easy and safer then win can.
