The issue with voter ID is that they only allow certain types of voter ID; the kind that POCs are less likely to have. This isn't my speculation. Republicans in court were found to have selected valid IDs based on racial discrimination.
Just allow all government-issued photo IDs and make getting one for citizens easy. But they oppose that.

Plus, centrism implies the right holds at least some better views than the "rights and better conditions for everyone" left; there is no moral or ethical equivalence, so being in the middle is supporting the right.

Did I say “don’t vote”? The whole “vote blue no matter who” is one of the reasons Trump rose to power. Democrats are just slightly left. But because we have a stupid two party system that doesn’t allow anyone but democrats or republicans to have a chance at winning we’re trapped in an endless cycle of corporatists and fascists. There’s no room for other parties to rise up. Over 35% of Americans identity as independent but because neither party represents their interests they don’t vote.
