Until they adjust the rules that the "victim" player has to be sent off the field for the injury before a red or yellow card can be drawn, I'll never give football or football players a single iota of respect.
Alternately, make this the red card penalty, and I'll watch it all the time.

What i don't get is how a basic free kick can turn into a yellow-or-red card with just a few tears. Seems kind of stupid.

I agree. Except that when they go down like that.. that player has to be changed out. Even if able to walk and run in a few minutes.
