. . . A wild Blockbuster card appeared. Look at this relic from a bygone era. Laminated to preserve it's freshness.
Curious to see what all I managed to watch when I had it active, I tried logging into their website, and it still works!
Apparently I was real big into sci-fi and horror movies at the time. Aliens, Cocoon, critters, nightmare on elm st, etc.
So anyways a few days later I get a phone call from someone representing Blockbuster. I had some late fees that I never paid. Which was strange because I was never late bringing a rental back, even rewinding the VHS tapes.
So, being a responsible person, I asked how much I owed. After a few minutes of hearing keyboard typing, the rep came back and said,
"Imma need bout tree fiddy."
It was about that time I realized the Caller ID said Urquhart Castle, Scotland and I was speaking to a Three story tall amphibious reptile from the Mesozoic era.
