I'm guessing some kinda Spider. These bites will look gross for another few days and then clear up, no biggie. Chigger bites last for weeks

Chigger bites are the worst. They dig in deep and get real comfortable. They make you feel absolutely violated. You're their home and they want to raise a family inside you.

Pecans are really good, I first had them dried in Mole and such in Mexico. They are almost impossible to find fresh in the US and literally impossible to find fresh in Europe. You would be shockingly, surprised how difficult it is to find hot peppers in France for example.

Spray it on the outside of your clothing and inside your hat instead of on your skin and generally that will work, if you are concerned about the safety of DEET. :)
You sure do spray the cuffs of your pants and the cuffs of long sleeve shirts.
Your risk from some serious skin cancer is probably more likely than from DEET, however.

oh yes, and I spray my clothes with the deet, and myself with a lemongrass based one(without the deet). I said this mostly tongue-in-cheek.

I understood! When we used to go back backing a lot, I carried with me a little olive trap, military issue 100% deed plastic bottle. You can put just one or two drops on your hands and then like run them all over your clothing and that was sufficient. I'm shocked that considering that were my deep production for for bugs has got to be many thousands of tons, there are not a lot of papers suggesting it's a major risk. I used to keep up on the scientific literature for sunscreen and insect stuff

100% DEET in a little olive drab plastic bottle. Just needed a dew drops to get some on your clothing sufficiently well distributed to keep away ticks and mosquitoes

did you scratch those? how come you didnt jump at the first bite? are you sure it was not mosquitos and then you scratch with dirty hands and got infected by yourself?

I'm so used to hurting myself that I ignore small pains all the time, I feel the pain then get bored of it and forget. And then when I come back from the garden I find "the damages". They can include thorns, small cuts, insect bites...

It's a necrotizing spider bite, but not a hardcore one like the ones you can find if you do an image search

I have similar spider bites sometimes, but only one at a time (or two small dotes close to each other), and I get them in my room at night. Itchy as hell, and sometimes feels a little painful around it, as if you hit your leg into a furniture. Heals very slowly and a brown spot remains.

Nothing a good leeching won't cure. A bit of dried bat wing will help speed up the healing process.
