Dance with me

Last year I've been secretly learning how to dance

I took my wife to a dance club last weekend, best night she's had in years!

So, last year I decided that I was going to learn to dance. My wife just love to dance, and I never really cared to dance. I was that guy that just stands in a corner at parties, that practically just listen to rock and metal. Most dance I ever did was head banging and mosh pit at concerts.

My wife dance since she was little. She loves it, it just comes natural to her, it seems like she have springs in her hips. And a long time ago she said how she misses her nights out when she danced all night. Some times we go out and she dances alone or with some of her girlfriends. She tried to dance with me some times but it just wasn't my thing.

But then I decided to make it one of my things, if not for me, for her.

When I was alone at home, I started to watch dance clips on youtube, some good, some silly (yes Napoleon, I'm looking at you), some tutorial dancing vídeos, even a lot of zumba vídeos and try to copy what they were doing. At the beginning I was feeling really silly, dancing in my room, in front of the mirror. But with time I got used to it, and I even got good at it (at least compared with the awkwards moments I used to make). I really put my heart into it.

Some months later, I decided it was time to put what I learned to the test, and took my wife to a night club. When we got there, I got us some drinks and waited for the opportunity, witch didn't took long (I think "despacito" started to play). I look at her and said "let's dance?" She gave me that "what?" look, and said "Are you sure?", I just took her hand and said "let's go!" And boy, she was surprised!

I wasn't some Ricky Martin killing on the floor, but I was keeping up with her. And then she started to elevate her game, really letting herself go with the music, and I showing what I had learned. She start to go all physical, grabbing, pushing, all sexy dancing, song after song. And the joy in her face! She was loving it! It wasn't the leg shaking I did around her the few times we danced in our years together. She asked me were all this have come from! And I told her I've been practicing for the past year. We danced all night.

She was amazed! And happy! And joyful! The whole night was like some foreplay, and when we got home, she was wild! Best night I had for a long while!

Of course, I thought I was killing with my dance moves, but the she said although I was good, there was room to improve and she would teach me now. And now I am her new toy. She's already planning our next weekend.

Guys, learn to dance. The ladies deserve that, and they love it! At the beginning will be strange, awkward, silly, but in time, it will come easy! And it's a great exercise! It's a great way to meet a girl or to deepen your relationship.
