You see, charity is a Christian virtue, right? Well, the goal of social programs is (at least in theory) to end poverty, and without poverty we won't have paupers to practice charity on, so social programs are clearly meant to eliminate Christian virtue. Besides, Jesus plainly said we'll always have the poor, so social programs are also trying to NEGATE THE WORD OF GOD, HALLELUJAH, GET THEE BEHIND ME SATAN. (not even entirely /s)
And what’s funny is that Mother Theresa, the paragon of mercy, didn’t care about healing the sick or mercy, she was generating demand for religion by showcasing suffering. I don’t think they really made any attempts to treat anyone, just the appearance of comfort.

Typically it's more like a heavy-handed request for money, and to be fair any organization needs money to survive. They should lose tax exemption status though, and should be subject to far more oversight than they currently are.
Right, if we are being fair, they opperate on increases requests and expectations of donations full well knowing it is tax exempt for the purpose of wealth accumulation. They aren’t keeping the lights on, they are building stadiums and not so subtly endorsing republican candidates. Which is an explicit violation of the constitutional separation of church and state. “But people choose to donate”, and yet crowdfunding can be taxed over $600 and that’s usually for medical bills.
But the difference between me tricking people into donating to me and some guy making up what jesus said even though there’s a whole book easily accessible that states almost the opposite of what the sermons do, I have to pay taxes. The churches do not, and they interfere in our government which expressly forbidden.
I’m saying the people receiving donations should pay taxes. I don’t care what people believe. As long as it doesn’t shape government policy in a harmful way and it’s even consistent with the source material, also while being exempt from contributing to that government.
