Jeezus, 50 missions! For the uninformed, the attrition rate for ball turret gunners was 75%! Most never made a full tour (25 or 30 missions), and your Pop flew 2 tours!?! Salute!

My grandpa flew in B-25 Marauders out of North Africa in 1942 - 1943. Probably shared some airfields with your dad.

Salute your Grandpa, mine drove Sherman tanks in the pacific. Just a minor correction as the B-25 was the Mitchell and the B-26 the Marauder.

Good catch and thanks for the correction. My other grandpa helped install the radar array at Templehof (sp.?) in Berlin after the war in Europe ended. It really was a global effort.
