Edit: Some people are saying that I'm stupid and don't know how to use the Internet to compare prices. Really? Sheesh. I found a comparable part at PartsWarehouse and ordered it for under $12.00. Sadly, it didn't fit, so I started hunting again. I just saw this price in passing and my jaw dropped, so I thought I'd say "fuck you" to KitchenAid just on general principles.
You want a hundred bucks for a cheap bit of plastic? This kind of corporate money-grubbing enrages me. I hate late-stage capitalism with the fury of a thousand blue-hot suns. Again, Fuck You.

Ive seen this on all kinds of parts lately, needed a handle for a dryer, was $250 at some places, but like other comments have pointed out where you buy it makes a big difference.

Well I paid 200 on Amazon for a pair of door shelves for my 700 LG fridge. Now it looks great, works perfectly, and I won't have to deal with getting another one for at least 15 years.

Some people think they are smart and make snap judgments without knowing all the facts. I ordered the part from PartsWarehouse.com for $11.93. It didn't fit. The bitterness of poor quality lasts long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten. So I was looking for other alternatives, and happened to come across this one. Of course I didn't order from KitchenAid, I was just gobsmacked by the price.
