I spent a lot of tears today for all these poor people.
And it's not over. Some will die tomorrow, some in the next week, for most it will be PTSD for the rest of their lifes, for some it will be even worse.
The only good thing about is how it got handled. EMT's, ambulances, helicopters, jets, police, government, first responders at the scene....heros!
Still, to start the year like this..... it hurts, even me who lives a 3 hour drive away. I've been there a couple of times. Such a beautiful place with beautiful people.....turned to ash....sadly quite literally.

Never forget: a crowded bar in a basement with narrow staircases should strike terror in your heart.

1.30 a.m. on the First of January a fire broke out in like a flash in a bar in Crans Montana, Switzerland.
So far 40 dead and 115 injured most of them severly.
The bar had a crowd of people 16-26 years old.
It's been all over the news today.

Sound deadening foam? AGAIN?

Seriously how many times do we have to learn this lesson

Thing is, that looks more like a bed topper. Proper sound deading foam /should/ be fire rated. Im sure there is knock off ones that are not. Yes people should have learned by now. This is why businesses have inspections. That business looks 100% liable from this picture but that's a armchair assessment. Its a shame so many people got hurt from such a simple and stupid mistake.

The Station nightclub fire should have ended this ever happening again

You would think so. I am very curious about that foam. I just can not see that being legit. No one is going to be ok from this. Its just to much. I hope what ever their regulatory agency is, they get damn angry and start inspecting places. This was preventable.

So what, you want to prosecute them and the dead personel whon probably light the fire?
These poor people are punished enough if you ask me 🤷‍♂️

I want to never read a headline where a night club, restaurant, what ever public event, had deaths because of something so stupid and preventable. I leave it up to the families of the victims to decide how the responsible party is punished, or their estate. I want the fire marshal to close every place that has shitty foam on the walls/ceilings. If I ran a club with sparklers, 2 people would be on hand with fire extinguishers.
