#14 I got up at 1pm today and took a 4 hour nap from 230 until 630. I'm going to bed in about an hour.

Lazy Sunday at its max lazy.

#1 - If they're going to start blaring Mariah Carry at 12:01 am November 1st (or earlier!) why *can't* Halloween start in September? You can't stop it, so you may as well co-opt the idea.

Just so long as you don't try to have your Halloween Candy and eat it too. If you're going to start flogging spoopy meme nonsense on Sept. 1st, complaining about similar encroachment by Christmas becomes wholly disingenuous.

Halloween starts July 5th in my house and ends on or around my mom's birthday. Which some times lands on Thanksgiving. 4 months of Halloween makes me happy and saited. And I look forward to busting out the Christmas stuff and decorating after the turkey is digested.

But consider the following: All hallows is still on the correct date. Jesus' birthday is in spring, not winter, and is a coopting of pagan traditions. FUCK corporate christmas and the shitty horse it rode in, I will complain about it till they change it back to the correct month (somewhere in march or april). CELESTIAL CALENDARS ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN STUPID MADE UP HUMAN SHIT! (They're not, but I like to pretend they are)

#15 If you grew up in the 90s, the actual addiction may not have started until you entered your teens and realized all the horror films had a softcore sex scene, and grandma went to bed early enough for you to watch it and rewind repeatedly. I mean sure, exorcist at age 8 was a terrible thrill, Stephen King books by age 10 were quite enjoyable.. but the love of a whole genre that spans a lifetime, that happened in my pants tyvm.

What's up with nudity in horror movies these days? I mean... where did it all go?

What's enjoyable about Halloween for adults? I get why kids would love it, but what makes adults think it's fun?

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

What is it about Halloween you think that kids like? What is it about that you think that adults would not enjoy?

On Halloween, kids get to pretend to be monsters, and adults get to pretend to be kids. ... plus the decorations, movies, and music are much cooler than other holidays get.

It'as got ghosts and monsters and werewolves and vampires and alcohol and dancing and jack-o-lanterns and fall leaves and zombies and candy and costumes and haunted houses and hay rides and spookiness and scary movies and decorations and witches. If you are into that sort of thing.
