This is David. My older brother and best friend.

I haven't met anyone who can match his zeal for life.

He always told me to love God and everyone around me. He treated with enthusiastic kindness even the people who were terrible to

This is me at the spot on the road where he died.

His last words were a facebook status saying, "I want to run, jump and spread life in this world. I don't think that has anything to do with sitting at this desk all day."

That was five years ago today. Two months ago I went on a trip through the mountains.

I found the places he used to go. This is me just thrilled out of my mind.

I could never own more than I would give to see you again.

Sorry for your loss. It's amazing how you've turned the loss into something positive for others. I'm sure your brother is proud of you.

I remember as a kid reading the paper: "ah, he was a grownup, over 20 years old". Now in my 30s it is so sad when someone dies so young :/

That last photo is awesome man.

Long live David Powell, the adventurer, a brother, and a loving soul.

My condolences OP. Your brother seems like the kind of guy I'd meet randomly while climbing in the woods and become great friends with.

My only brother died July 14th, 2012. For me. I focused on the 31 years I had with him and not the number of years I'm without. Sorry OP.

Send him the money to do so. ^^

Having lost my brother almost two years ago now, "I could never own more than I would give to see you again." pretty much sums it all up.

I've been there, it's not scary at all. Moose Mountain Ice Cave in Alberta, Canada. He'd fall like 6 feet.

11 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

How the duck did I miss the cave? I've hiked Moose so many times.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You have to walk a gas well access road on Canyon Creek, then up to the base of the cliffs. Go in the spring, there's ice pillars!

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

ONTO SPIKES!

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

That picture don't tell me that!

11 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

He would fall 6 feet, and before hitting the ground he would fall another 80.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That's the beauty of it :)
