My Gaming Day Submission - Old School Knights of Legend

Open screen in all it's Commodore 64 graphical greatness.

The Box and advertising was pretty epic... for the 80s.

You know it's going to be good when it comes with a printed map! I actually still have the 5-1/4 floppy disks, map, manual and box for the C64 in a box under my house somewhere.

Combat (screen shot stolen from where ever google found it). The combat system was actually way ahead of it's time. Turn based, you could pick your attack and defence options (this person is doing NO attack and RUNNING away defence). It also had an stamina system (blue bar) the more things you did the lower your stamina would get. Just wearing full plate and sprinting was enough to knock a character out after a few rounds even if they didn't sustain any damage. It was a great system for it's time.

The CRPG Addict actually does a pretty good overview of it here:

Part of me kind of wishes they'd remake this game...
