Ok not sure if imgur likes story puzzles, but here goes nothing.
You woke up in an island. You are the only one in the island. The house is decent. You have no idea how you got there. And don't know where you are.
There's food and water supply for a year. Mostly can food, but also fresh produce.
There's a library in the house. Engineering books, science, technology, just about everything. You have no Internet connection and no outside communication.
There's also a shop, and the house runs on a fuel generator which will run out in three months. There are solar panels and storage cells installed, but aren't hooked up yet.

Read the books and learn to make a giant, crude, but powerful radio antenna and spam Morse code. Hope they can triangulate somehow...

Finally the life I've been waiting for. Take me there now I won't resist at all

Remember all the McGyver shows that I watched as a kid.
Dudewalker1
Some of those books must have information about stars and their positions in the night sky. Could learn where you are pretty easy

Well Im pretty sure I'd be distilling booze before I learned how to hook up the solar panels
CoderWithoutCaffeine
Lmao of course booze is important too!
DaPhukUmean
Shame on you @OP... half of imgur lives in isolation.. All you did was make it pretty. And gave us books. We will survive.
CoderWithoutCaffeine
Yes you will! But how?
DaPhukUmean
In 140 characters? Unlikely friend.
SomeGuyNamedThomas
Sounds pretty damn easy to survive with all that crap around
SomethingVeryClever
Sounds like a dream. A fantastic dream.
CoderWithoutCaffeine
Ok care to illustrate?
SomeGuyNamedThomas
First off you have solar panels that only need to be plugged in. You have three whole months of fuel and a freaking house which protects 1/2
SomeGuyNamedThomas
You front the elements and you have a year long supply of food. Library has books which are great fuel for signal fires for planes or boats
CoderWithoutCaffeine
Who said anything about planes and boats going by? Good plan, still no viable gateway.
WScarlet
... Too easy. So easy as to be dull. Boring.
CoderWithoutCaffeine
Ok care to illustrate?

Between the books the workshop and the solar, you have energy taken care of week one. [I wouldn't need the books, but they're there.]

The canned food will carry you while you clear some farm land. Feeding one person isn't exactly the toughest job in the world. The island

probably already has native edible plants and animals, certainly fish, but exploration can be dangerous. Staying close to home is safer.

Don't bother with the generator, at all, after the first two nights. You'll need that to power a decent radio transmitter, once you
