this would be a good thing if done in the right way for the right reason, but, something tells me the blithering pile of brain rot won't be increasing national funding for public therapists with all the necessary training they'd need to do this right
(not intending to say anything bad about anti-depressants, more that I'm saying too many times they're used without the needed therapy to attempt to work through the underlying problem which may allow them to stop needing them later on)

JMO: if there are fewer people with access to antidepressants, and there's still easy access to weapons, the least of the issues he and his fellow appointees will have to worry about is access to SSRIs.
Mental health is already the shits in the US, dragging the needle negative again will lead to lead poisonings.

At the title - yes, yes they do indeed.
I need my goddamn medication. I have enough trouble regulating my mental state without it that even my best friend, who has the patience of a saint, told me that either I need to get some professional help (which led to said medication) or she has to back off because her own state was deteriorating.
I honestly don't remember much of that era, but I do vividly remember just how little it felt like life mattered at that point. Meds saved me from that pit.

Actually yes, that's exactly what they want. They want you dead. They know LGBTQ+ folks suffer from mental illness more often than straight people (because of constant persecution by said straight people) and if they can't get help, some of them will spiral and punch out. Thus removing them from society, all without the Republicans having to lift a finger. Then with the higher suicide rate, they can classify those folks as mentally ill by default and push various forms of torture (conversion)

It makes perfect sense if you assume that the entire point (not for Trump, but for the people looking to make use of his useful idiocy and general greed) is to significantly damage longstanding protections and supports for a broad swath of the populace to better establish force of control over them, while simultaneously draining off the resources that had been going to them into the pockets of the rich and powerful instead.
