I don’t care what your stance on the issue is, but can we all agree that children shouldn’t be used as political pawns in demonstrations? Kids as young as 5 “marched” today. Far too young to possibly understand the reasoning for them to be let out of school for a bit for something like this.

Keep telling them they don't know how to think for themselves. See how the next few elections go.

"I would like to not get shot in school." "Well I saw someone vaguely your age do something dumb on the internet, so your point is invalid."

Even the vast majority of adults that are screaming "common sense gun laws!" Are very misinformed on guns and anything to do with them.

Either that or simply not informed at all. They’d rather ignore justice system statistics and instead parade school kids around

I dont think you need to be 18 to know you dont want to be shot en masse

Alcohol and drugs kill far more of them than guns, yet they don't march to eradicate those.

Pretty sure there have been marches to eradicate drunk driving....

Alcohol and drugs tend to kill the user, as opposed to the kid who happened to have study hall with the user.

drunk driving.

Drunk driving.

If drunk driving deaths count as alcohol deaths, then there have been numerous demonstrations against that.

Shouldnt be using them for shooting practice, either.

This guy. This guy right here with the out of the box thinking.

Nobody is arguing for that. But you can’t enact punitive measures against a big chunk of the country over the deeds of a few sick criminals

We imprisoned Japanese-Americans in the 40s on the off-chance there might be a few traitors among them. Note: that was horrible of us.

So you want to advocate for eliminating a constitutional amendment because an administration did it before, which was also illegal?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

If a black person can be worth more than 3/5 a person for representation now, then an amendment can be altered.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

The difference is, the second amendment isn’t an illegal and unconstitutional thing like the strawmen you’ve thus listed.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

That was in the original document, by the way. Not an afterthought.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Sure you can.

At that point, you may as well dissolve the constitution and amendments. These are rights, not governments granted privileges

Theres a world of differemce between saying "you cant own a gun" and " we wont allow you to use this gun to shoot children"

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 6

But it’s already illegal to shoot children. That isn’t what this entire thing is about.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

It's already against the law to shoot a child. What are you gonna do to stop it?
