I thought so too, size and markings, but no red ears. Just yellow. I know there is a yellow variant of the red eared slider.

LOL I am not certain but could be an alligator snapping turtle (google it) feed it meal worms or some meat. It's cute! I want it.

do you have a stream or pond nearby? Just put it at waters edge and it will likely go in on its own

No stream or pond, found it at a lake when I was refinishing a pier. The other eggs were already gone. This one I wanted to save.

check wikipedia they eat fish but will likely eat worms or whatever else wriggles by. check a reptile expert if you going to keep it.

Sure, I have a red eared slider, but that one was a China town special about 4 years ago and he's been good all this time.
