I just rescued Skylar from a kill shelter 3 weeks ago. She was one her last day.
She was taken by animal control because neighbors saw her being beaten by her owner in March. Skylar was put in an isolation kennel until July when the court freed her from abuse. Two of the owners tried to adopt her so she could be returned to him. But a staff member was onto this and blocked it. She was then labeled Rescue Only. But the shelter was swamped so she was up for euthanasia for space. I noticed her and contacted a rescue I work with for information. Staff said she was a total delight and how unfair it was to have spent 4 months in isolation and given no chance. I got her and she is the best dog in every way! And now my Walter has his Skylar and all is good in our world ❤️
