Good morning, cherubs. Time to make that sacrifice to capitalism.

Have a super awesome day. Loves.

Dad advice. My son’s soon to be spouse told me this week they can’t wait to have kids. Kind of on cloud nine over here. So I sent them this.

This is the way to dad.

Dad advice

Dad advice

Find joy

Good morning, house plants ?

Night night. I love you. I’m proud of you. I’m grateful you’re in my life. Remember the wedding isn’t as important as the marriage.

Dats a good girl!

Dad advice (getting ready to have back surgery in less than 60 days)

Just letting you know you can do this. There’s nothing stopping you. ?️ He thinks that guy is nuts ?

Hey

Beware the cats

NnneeeeeeAaArrrwww

Sometimes it is, children. Find that rainbow when the day is bleak.

Beware the cats. They steal your soap and don’t even use it.

Try pig instead.

Sometimes you just gotta get away

Beans ?

Good night children. I love you. I’m proud of you. I’m grateful you’re in my life. Gotcha on the previous video.

I actually have one of these blob fish. I an do close to being able to reenact this.

Thank you, hooman.

Beware the cats. You know why.

There’s no meaning in life other than to try to find happiness and leave the world a little better any way you can.

Beware the cats. They are learning to drive.

Try duck instead. Where is the corkscrew emoji?

If this didn’t make your day, you’re scrolling on the wrong dump.

“OH YEAAAAH, that was a good pun.”

?

Beware the cats

Beware the cats. You didn’t know all that IKEA stuff in your house is enriching the cat army, did you? Well you do now.

Beware the cats. They are learning to dance. For nefarious reasons not yet understood.

I would do this except my downstairs Roomba is named Inga after the character from Young Frankenstein and my upstairs Roomba is named Yvette after the character from Clue.

You might say she is in danger because nature abhors a vacuum, but technically she has no know natural enemies.

She’s going to clean up out there.

I mean, seriously. A+

When my children come home to visit I meet them In the front yard with my shirt lifted up and my belly extended as far as possible and I slap it like a seal. They used to be mortified of it. Now they do it back like the best secret handshake ever. I’m going to get my grandchild this way when my kids have kids.

I love you. I’m proud of you. I’m grateful you’re in my life. Always keep them guessing.

Beware the cats. They are learning to build tanks.

That’s all I wanted to say. See you around and stuff. Goodbye. ??

A girl I dated once had an alarm that started with someone talking. I didn't know this. It went off, I shoved her away from the sound and jumped up ready to fight. She had a different alarm the next time I stayed over.

Good luck with your back surgery, @op!
My wife had major work done a few years ago. Immediately post surgery she was worried that it was her biggest mistake but once she was done with PT she felt better than she has in over a decade.
Listen to your Dr, do your PT, and you'll do great!

#38 This guy is cruising for a concussion. NEVER float through moving water headfirst, especially when there's rocks n shit!! ALWAYS feetfirst!!
Thank you for coming to my safety message

Looks like stop-motion, though. So, no real danger to him.

What kind of back surgery? Those are old friends. I've had 3

This will be my second. Spinal fusion this time. L4-L5.

2 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I've had discectomys from L2 all the way to S1 and now I have a stimulator because I'm failed pain management. The stimulation is amazing. Absolutely controls my pain. Wish you all the best and a quick recovery.

#3 my sister is currently pregnant and I'm definitely passing this along.

The truth is that sometimes kids just get stuck being "upset" and the trick is to change them out of that. Maybe it involves a literal changing, but sometimes it can just be taking them to a different room, or outside, or handing them to someone else (TRUSTED!) or smacking a piece of cheese on their head. It all works, some of the time.

#7 this is, the best, most gleeful thing I have seen in my life....

This one is right up there next to the “can I pet that DAWG?” The “great googly moogley” Super Bowl commercial, and the manamana song In the category of things to always watch when they come across your attention span.

#3 this works because babies live in the moment, they don't really remember stuff yet. The sudden cold sensation kind of knocks them out of the "I'm sad" sensation.
Of course, the smart thing to do is to be present and accompany your kid through the emotion, because every time you help them calm down, they learn a little bit better to do it themselves.
But I would be lying if I said that I didn't distract the little one out of a difficult place a few times. We're all just human. =)

2 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

is it even helpful to teach a baby emotional management yet? can't you just throw cheese and then do the proper management stuff when they're more sentient?

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or just Pavlov them into cheese therapy early.

#5 someone lives in a country with universal healthcare. Being healthy is expensive in the US

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#5 I feel personally attacked by this one. I've spent over 2 months going through some kind of "hard to diagnose" neurological or autoimmune bullshit and really felt that first line. But I was fucking picking kale in my organic vegetable garden after yoga when it all started so apparently your body can just decide to fuck itself regardless of what you do. :/

Oooh this happened to me in 2019. Which on did you get?

2 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

No idea, but Google bot says that my blood tests (just posted on my portal this afternoon) indicate that it's quite possibly some flavor of autoimmune. The 2 highlighted ones seem to best match my symptoms but it's still very TBD.
What flavor did you get? And how long did it take to go through the process of getting diagnosed?

2 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Mine ended up being a form of fibromyalgia... 8 months to diagnose. So many needles. Best of luck, friend.

2 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Ugh that sounds terrible, I'm glad you were able to get a diagnosis though.
Thanks, I'm dealing with the US healthcare system so I'm definitely going to need it.

As a guy that just tripped for four days, this guy rocks. Also, do not eat non-psyocibin (legal) mushrooms. The after effects are not worth the trip.
