There are no such thing as illegal aliens. It's not a crime to be in the country without documentation. The entire "illegals" nonsense was made up by bigots and racists to dehumanize people they hate. The entire "problem" would go away in an instant if you just stopped calling people "illegals" and just started saying "Welcome to your new home. We are very glad you joined us".

I mean racism is a huge component of it. If we actually gave a damn about immigration policy instead of racism masked as immigration policy, we'd go after the white corporation owners that are breaking the law hiring these people, and not the brown people who are often lured into breaking the law by these predatory companies. Immigration laws exist for every country in the world, as does documentation to keep track of its citizens. The U.S has just perverted its enforcement for a bigoted agenda.

So, to be a bit pedantic here, it is actually a criminal offense to enter the country illegally or overstay your visa.
Their presence here is the act of a crime.
That said, we should loosen the restrictions on naturalization and guillotine the useless billionaires.
