Spooktastic! Especially enjoyed the Rules for Walking in the Woods, so many nods to folklore and creepy tales! The mention of 2AM being the most hazardous time to enter the forest reminds me of the "Hour of the Ox" (hours of 1AM-3AM) in Japanese folklore. According to legend, it is then that even the trees sleep, dangerous spirits roam, the Demon Gates (Kimon) are active, and deadly Ushi no Toki Mairi ("Ox-hour Shrine-Visit" curses) could be cast. :)
