I was just about to say that every shelter that does this should have a 3d printer and a 3d scanner. They'd be able to whip up professional grade, custom fitted prosthetics, wheel chairs, etc for all the the good doggos and kittehs.
If Elon musk can be a trillionaire, we can afford to give every single shelter, vet, and hospital on the planet a scanner and printer. It's not a matter of money, it's a matter of having the will to eat the rich.
